Sasquatch Shaved Ice is a nonprofit snow cone stand with locations in the Plaza District, Bricktown, and a mobile unit in Oklahoma City. As a program of the Homeless Alliance, our mission is to employ youth, including those who are low-income or have been involved in the foster care or juvenile justice systems and empower them to achieve their educational and career goals.

Along with job training, each Sasquatch Shaved Ice employee gets a checking and savings account with Oklahoma’s Credit Union and takes part in a program that includes monthly life skills classes and financial literacy trainings to prepare them for higher education and career goals. Additionally, Sasquatch Shaved Ice uses the profits from the business to match dollar-for-dollar what their employees save towards life-enriching opportunities. This teaches our youth employees responsible saving and spending habits that will help them break the cycle of poverty and set them on a path towards financial stability and long-term success.
